"The Helmets for Kids" with nearly 5100 Helmets

VOV.VN- The helmet donations develop the habit of obeying Helmet regulations the children in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Dong Nai provinces

The National Traffic Safety Committee and Ministry of Education and Training with the Asia Injury Prevention foundation will donate motorcycle helmets with 5093 helmets to first grader pupils of the 2014-2015. Among the 39 primary schools, 15 are from Ha Tinh province, 16 are from Quang Binh province and 8 from Dong Nai province.

The programme is part of the "Helmet for Kids" project develop the habit of obeying Helmet regulations in three provinces. Except for Helmet donation, the programme will reimburse parents 50% of the cost of new helmets they purchase for their children instead of lost or tight Helmets.

National Traffic Safety Committe Vice President Khuat Viet Hung said that the programme will help encourage parents, relevant department to take responsibility to ensure their children wear helmets
